This is how you would transfer your settings from one PC to another. You can merge directly into your registry, but pleast take all necessary precautions. This contains all my TextPad registry settings-all the settings discussed in the General Settings topic above. Look also for the file TextPadSettings.reg. My SAS clip library holds skeleton code for a growing number procedures. They hold chucks of text that you can quickly paste into a document. These also differ by class.Ĭlip libraries have become a great time saver. TextPad allows syntax files that allow the use different colors for different types of keywords. My font sizes, for example, differ between a SAS command file (*.sas), a SAS output file (*.lst), and a plain text file (*.txt). TextPad allows you to setup multiple document classes, which allows the editor to behave a little differently depending on the type of file. It's quite flexible, the help files are clearly written, and preferences are easy to set. We strongly recommend you use tlmgr for this where possible.I use TextPad for a number of programming purposes, such as writing HTML code or writing SAS and M plus and then submitting it in "batch mode."
